The service

QR Studio is a free tool for generating, styling and scanning QR codes. It is provided as is, with no account, no subscription and no guaranteed availability. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Your codes are yours

We claim no ownership of the content you encode or of the images you upload, and no rights over the codes you export. You may use them for personal or commercial purposes, including in print and on packaging, without attribution and without a licence fee.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use QR Studio to create or distribute codes that:

• point to malware, phishing pages or other fraudulent content;
• impersonate another person, business or payment recipient;
• infringe someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• are illegal where you or your audience are located.

You also agree not to abuse the export endpoint with automated bulk requests that degrade the service for others.

Verify before you print

Heavy styling, a large logo or low contrast can make a code harder to read, and artistic (halftone) codes trade scannability for looks. The app runs a scan self-test and warns you, but you remain responsible for testing a code on real devices before printing or publishing it. We are not liable for reprints or lost business caused by a code that does not scan.

Advertising

This site is funded by third-party display advertising. We do not control which ads are shown and we do not endorse the products in them. How advertising cookies work is described in our privacy policy.

No warranty and limitation of liability

QR Studio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the site.

Trademarks

“QR Code” is a registered trademark of Denso Wave Incorporated. QR Studio is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Denso Wave.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date above always shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it.
