QR Studio is a free QR code studio that runs entirely in your web browser. You can design a code, blend a picture into it, scan one with your camera, and export the result — without creating an account and without your data ever being uploaded.

Why we built it

Most QR generators either put your links behind a paywall, require a sign-up, or quietly route your codes through a redirect service that can expire or track scans. We wanted the opposite: a tool where the code you download is a plain, permanent QR code that points directly at your content and keeps working forever, offline included.

How it works

The QR encoder, the styling engine and the scanner all run as code inside your browser. When you type a link, choose shapes and colours, or drop in a logo, the image is rendered locally and never leaves your device. The only exception is high-resolution PDF, EPS and PNG export, which is rendered on demand by our server from the options you submit and is not retained afterwards. What you can do

Encode links, plain text, Wi-Fi credentials, email, phone, SMS, contact cards, locations, calendar events and payment details.
Restyle every part of the code — module shapes, eye frames, eye balls, solid colours, linear and radial gradients, and per-eye colours.
Place a logo in the centre; error correction is raised automatically so it still scans.
Wrap the code in a frame with your own caption or call to action.
Blend a photo into the code with the halftone QR-art engine.
Scan codes with your camera or from an uploaded image, decoded on your device.
Export to SVG, PNG, PDF or EPS, and save your designs as presets for later.

Who makes it

QR Studio is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Denso Wave, the owner of the “QR Code” trademark. It is built and maintained by a small independent developer, and it is available in five languages.

How it stays free

The tool is free for everyone, with no usage limits and no watermark. Hosting is paid for by display advertising shown in ordinary page content. Ads are never placed inside dialogs or attached to the download buttons, and we never ask you to click them.
